So... My company supports the quest for continuing education.
I took them up on it and have been accepted into the UCCS graduate program in Computer Science - probably with a preponderance of Information Assurance coursework.
Have your advanced degrees served you well?

Yes and no. Yes in that I'm using the skills that I developed there, no in that my company doesn't seem to want to pay me for those skills.
Well, at least they're going to pay me to get it. I've been promised $5K/year more with a Master's. Beats a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.
The kicker is that the head of the office does want me to major in Software Engineering -- but that's NOT what my boss does or will give me the time to do. Bah.
So if the head of the office is over your boss, then you should go major in Software Eng:o) Getting into office politics can be tricky tho.
Bah. I'll have to take some Software Engineering courses. I guess that I'll learn if it is to programming as editors are to writing.
Humn, I think I'm beginning to like Day By Day.
