Conserverative or Progressive?
Do you space or double-space after a full stop?
There is a raging controversy about this on the web - and, if you "double" you're essentially a troglodyte.
But history is on our/my side. :^)

Good things come to those who vote (truly) Conservative...
"The surplus and increased revenue projections should be invested in aid for our schools, lowering income taxes for middle-class families, holding the line on property taxes, and building our rainy day fund," Walker said...
It's not going to be happening in Colorado anytime soon, though. Or California...

How ObamaCare should go down...
It is now a tax, (no) thanks to the US Supreme Court.
... So? ...
Well, revenue bills (taxes) can only (Constitutionally) originate in the House of Representatives.
ObamaCare didn't. Sen. Reid didn't like the House's version and used his own - what did it matter?
Now he's trying to resurrect a bill that neither side of Congress passed and fill it with ObamaCare.
More details here.

SStrange days, indeed...
[in] Connecticut, the state where the infamous Newtown school shooting occurred, voted in 2000 to eliminate county sheriffs as constitutional officers. Among the provisions eliminated were the requirements to hold an election of sheriffs in each county every four years for four-year terms and the requirement that sheriffs submit a bond to the treasurer to ensure the faithful discharge of their duties. Voters in Connecticut opted instead for a system of federal marshals who don’t bother to take an oath to uphold the Constitution; the marshals’ only loyalty is to those in upper echelons of power who appoint them, not the lowly “we the people” they are supposed to serve. In Colorado, the Dems have granted police authority and powers to the US Secret Service... This replaces the local sheriff as the power in the State and severely undercuts the accountability of local law enforcement.
If we don't get them out of office and change that, shame on us!

USA meets Kyoto protocol goal...
... without ever embracing it
...it seems like killing the economy went hand in hand with CO2 reductions, imagine that.As opposed to our fears of it happening the other way around...
For advanced strategy on business lead generation...
... and nurturing, please take a look at my company's new site: G2leads. It uses a cool, fractal-like, display format.
The page/site is put together by Prezi, Inc. They have some other cool sites and demos there.
Thanks for your time!

You Will Be Made to Care...
A little bit of sense from RedState.com:
We are using the state to protect our ability to preach the scripture under the first amendment. If the state has the power to change the definition of an institution that it did not create, but that God himself created, the state can compel and coerce the church to honor that definition or sit on the sidelines....
A Christian on the sidelines is a Christian not going forth.
The state did not create marriage and it should not now exert the power to change the definition of that which it did not create.
Those of you who are Christians who support gay marriage will one day have Archbishop Chaput burning in your ears. He said that evil peddles tolerance until it is dominant then seeks to silence good. That’s why Christians fight on this issue. It is not to force themselves on others, but to protect themselves from others being forced on them.

Disability payment abuse...
The source is none other than NPR: Unfit for Work The startling rise of disability in America
Surprisingly, the author documents (tells anecdotes that we want to believe about) the current debacle that is a safety net being abused by people who are falling off of the welfare roles.
In the past three decades, the number of Americans who are on disability has skyrocketed. The rise has come even as medical advances have allowed many more people to remain on the job, and new laws have banned workplace discrimination against the disabled. Every month, 14 million people now get a disability check from the government.

California...
... a (hilarious) model of bureaucratic (in-)efficiency. You'll probably laugh, but you really should cry.
So if you are trying to run a business in some other state and you often feel overburdened with unnecessary regulations, just remember this. It could be a lot worse. You could be trying to put some dirt in a hole in California.Ouch.

We'll never run out of wind...
From wattsupwiththat.com
“One of the inherent challenges of wind energy is that as soon as you start to develop wind farms and harvest the resource, you change the resource, making it difficult to assess what’s really available,” says Adams.
Now, if only we could harness the (destructive) power of Stupid...

Thinking "Rand Paul"
If you didn't hear his response to BHO's SOTU speech, there's a link in the article linked below.
The article is about Senator Paul giving back over 1/2 $M from his staff budget.
He might be what we're looking for.

That's the best you can do?
So, Saturday Night Live makes a blasphemous "skit" about Jesus resurrecting in a mood for vengeance...
Is NBC's spoof of vengeance by Jesus offensive? [WND for the article]Wow.
Yes, and NBC would never dare mock Muhammad in such a way (32%, 208 Votes)
Update:
“Such misrepresentation of what Jesus, peace be upon him, stands for is extremely offensive to Muslims and to all those who believe in his message,” said Nihad Awad, executive director of CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations. Thanks for your support!

With friends like these...
So, (ex) Senator Chuck Hagel has been nominated to be the Secretary of Defense.
He's having a hard time and may be filibustered by the Republicans - who were his colleagues.
Hmmm... Will it be bad? Probably not, because he's got the support of the CPUSA:
He [Hagel] does, however, represent the more sober elements who have called in our national discourse for rejection of the old cold war tactics, the unilateralism and the continual push for wars all over the world.I predict that he'll get the same warm treatment that Hillary got (with the exception of Sen. Rand Paul!) in her acceptance of the blame for the consulate tragedy/debacle in Libya.
Bah!

I'm jealous of Zimbabwe...
After making payroll last week, they have $217 in their bank account.
Our gov't has negative $16T.
They've hit rock bottom -- and, presumably have nowhere to go but up.
When will we be able to head up? When!?!
And now for something...
almost entirely apolitical:
"Over the past twelve months the company [Apple] has generated a total of $47.4 billion in free cash flow taking its cash pile north of $137 billion.[!!] These numbers are simply phenomenal. To put them in perspective, Business Insider noted today that Amazon.com has earned a mere $5 billion in its entire history. Apple generated nearly triple that amount in its last quarter."And their stock is down 12%.
I probably wouldn't have posted this at all, were it not for the fact that Amazon's recent proclamations didn't meet their advisory statements -- and then their stock went UP about 10%!!
Argh.
You may not have to look far for this...
At least not all the way to England, with all the extensions to unemployment benefits that are tacked onto every Bill that goes through Congress these days.
"Our parent have paid into the system for so long and wouldn't want us to struggle...", say a couple of English bums.
There are other stories that you may have seen about how much someone can get from the "safety net" in this country and how hard they'd have to actually work to replace it.
Argh.

Coming to a school near you...
“I’m picking up my kids and then, next thing you know, I’m locked up,” Jessie Sansone, 26, told the Waterloo Region Record in Canada. There are several hours missing between the quotes above.[Police] noted, “At the point in the investigation when it was determined it was not a real firearm, the individual was released unconditionally.”
A 4 y.o. girl drew a gun in school...

Some people think too much...
For instance, here's an an anaysis of Bilbo's contract from the recent cinematic version of The Hobbit. 'Nuff said.
Unsafe at any speed...
Well, that's not quite right, but, if you're driving a small, ("Smart"-ish) car don't run into something larger... (Courtesy of the National Review Online)
...the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) ran a rather expensive series of tests in which it pitted a smaller vehicle against the next size larger vehicle from the same manufacturer. Specifically, they ran a Honda Fit into a Honda Accord,And the gov't is looking for this to just get
a Toyota Yaris into a Toyota Camry,
and a Mercedes C Class into a Smart Fortwo (owned by Mercedes).

It must be nice...
to be able to win a voting block without having to actually bribe them...
The median 2012 salary for female employees of the White House was $62,000; for men that number was $71,000.I don't, however, have any idea of the mix of the jobs in the salary study... (Would that have beem too hard to report? ;^)

I WILL NOT PAY
"We, the "old geezers", never had the right to try to force you to pay $180,000 of your money that you would earn tomorrow, an amount that has almost tripled in the last ten years and will triple again if you don't put your foot down and demand it stop."
Are you under 18? Yes? Good. Have you ever voted? No? Good. Have you ever voted for someone who promised to give you something? No? Good! Otherwise, not so good. :^( Please consider starting or joining the movement to opt-out of the slavery to which you would have been entangled by saying, "I WILL NOT PAY!"read more here

Vermont leads the way!

to Vermont's Constitution, you're a liability to the State if you don't
own the means to protect yourself and the State. Read this to find out
