(Liberals) Be Careful What You Wish For

 I've been listening to a lot of Right-wing, Conservative media and haven't heard anyone else mention this yet...

So.  Remember that you heard it here first.

There's this very democratic, Democrat, Communist, subversive (Un-American, even) idea called the "National Popular Vote Interstate Compact" (NPVIC).  Its basic premise is that America, as a democracy, should elect its President by majority vote.  And, so, as of January 20025, 17 States and the District of Columbia have agreed to award their electoral votes (EVs) to whichever presidential ticket wins the "popular vote."

Following the link above, you will see that the group accounts for 209 EVs (the States shown in green).

Looking at the "2024 United States presidential election", you may notice that all the signatories to the NPVIC also voted for the Harris/Walz ticket.

Meaning...

If the NPVIC had been in effect for the 2024 election...  And, since Trump/Vance won the popular vote...

This

would have turned into this

Trump/Vance 520  -- Harris/Walz 18.

A literal landslide.  :^)

Chief Justice John Roberts turned away without comment Monday an emergency stay request from the Association of American Physicians & Surgeons [snip]...[/snip] They asked the chief justice Friday to temporarily block the law, saying Congress had passed it incorrectly by starting it in the Senate instead of the House. Revenue-raising bills are supposed to originate in the lower chamber.

So... The man turns a penalty into a tax so that it's not "unConstitutional" and then ignores a totally valid reason to throw Obamacare out. We can't even trust the highest ranking "conservative" jurist to follow his oath to the Constitution.

How ObamaCare should go down...

It is now a tax, (no) thanks to the US Supreme Court. 

... So? ...

Well, revenue bills (taxes) can only (Constitutionally) originate in the House of Representatives. 

ObamaCare didn't.  Sen. Reid didn't like the House's version and used his own - what did it matter?

Now he's trying to resurrect a bill that neither side of Congress passed and fill it with ObamaCare.

SStrange days, indeed...

[in] Connecticut, the state where the infamous Newtown school shooting occurred, voted in 2000 to eliminate county sheriffs as constitutional officers.  Among the provisions eliminated were the requirements to hold an election of sheriffs in each county every four years for four-year terms and the requirement that sheriffs submit a bond to the treasurer to ensure the faithful discharge of their duties.  Voters in Connecticut opted instead for a system of federal marshals who don’t bother to take an oath to uphold the Constitution; the marshals’ only loyalty is to those in upper echelons of power who appoint them, not the lowly “we the people” they are supposed to serve.

 In Colorado, the Dems have granted police authority and powers to the US Secret Service...  This replaces the local sheriff as the power in the State and severely undercuts the accountability of local law enforcement.

If we don't get them out of office and change that, shame on us!
