Of course, the fact that both are basically sugared battery acid really ought to persuade one to drink a real man's drink. Coffee, of course. :^)

You're ignoring the fact that coffee is obviously a Product of The FALL. It's trying not to be appealing. It has adapted to be bitter and vile. You're not supposed to be drinking it!

The fact that you do shows that you've also been affected by sin and depravity...

Drink something that aspires to be better! Drink Coke!

As if. Come on; Bach wrote a cantata in favor of the holy drink, coffee.

Did he? What is it? What does it sound like?

And he was a Lutheran? Has Lutheranism been soft that long?

Even more to the point, Mormons allow cola but not coffee. See?

(I had, though, a Mormon friend who told me that he loved the smell of coffee, even if he couldn't drink it....so I offered to let him eat some of my chocolate covered espresso beans...he declined, sad to say)

"to the point"?!? That's way off topic. Just because he has the strength of his convictions and you choose not to respect them... ;^)

And, the fact that Mormons may do something or other could just as easily be seen as a part of the truth that shields the lie.
