My apologies to Jared

I had it in my mind that Jared (The Galleria of Jewelers) was founded by Jared Polis. It was not. Please see the Wikipedia entry. My apologies.

Jared Polis, the first openly homosexual man to be elected to Congress, is rather the founder of bluemountain.com and Proflowers.com. He sold the first for a mint before the DotBomb and the second in 2005.

Not bad... He sold the Proflowers brand (with some other similar things) for $477M when they only had $60M in the bank... (What do you think that he feels guilty for being a capitalist?)

Bah! The research for this post took the wind out of my sails. I had wanted to warn y'all (Bert) that your favorite "conservative" talk shows were promoting a liberal's money maker.

That may still be the case. *sigh* But I don't have the time to look into it.

The Economic Downturn?

It's all Microsoft's fault!

Well, at least, it's partly their fault. Vista was such a flop that companies aren't upgrading to it in the rush that computer memory makers were counting on.
Easy lending terms and a bright view of the future prompted them to build too many new DRAM factories. Much of the new output was aimed at Microsoft's Windows Vista OS. The OS requires more memory per PC than older OSs, and DRAM companies hoped Vista would be a blockbuster...
So. Buy more memory now. It's cheap and you'll be helping the "global economy."

I suggest DealRAM. Their site can get you to the right chips at the best prices. :^)

It's a sad state of affairs when...

... Pravda says more about a news story than our MSM will.
"The only thing that matters is that he refuses to produce a valid Birth Certificate and instead spends thousands of dollars on attorneys and defies Federal lawsuits and State lawsuits asking him to produce one single piece of paper that most every citizen of every nation of the world has easy and rapid access to."
