Would NASA really try to make Death Valley even hotter than we think it is? Well, yes, probably. But, you can be the judge of that...
It seems that they've set up a new weather station in the last decade so that they can use it to proclaim the reality of long-term global climate change.

Oh, shoot, count the logical fallacies in that...."we did this in the past decade to show the reality of long term global climate change." Oy vay!
I think that, while the quote is a good summary of the point of the article, you're quoting me, not NASA, Bert.
True, but a group of people with earned doctorates should be able to process the logical implications of what they're doing without a former balloon-jockey filling in the details for them, no? I'm again, always amazed at how people with super prestigious degrees can fail the most basic tests of taking data and making it representative of what they're trying to do.
Yes, it certainly is an issue of basic honesty.
And yes; SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT.
You didn't think I'd melt down those Chinese toys for nothing, did you? :^)
"Balloon jockey?" This is an interesting comment. Am I being complimented or are they being derided? ;^)
Speaking of shooting... Should I get my permit whilst I've just been warned that my hours will probably be cut and position be in jeopardy after the new year. Application costs are about $200... Hmmm... It would be a shame to be needing it and have chosen to feed my family instead. :^/
