It's not going to die any time soon,

but maybe we can put it back in its coffin...

From the Home School Legal Defense Association
Congress is poised to consider a bill that would forbid employers from refusing to hire people based on their “sexual orientation.”

The U.S. House Education and Labor Committee will hold a committee markup for H.R. 3685, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act of 2007 (ENDA)[It's what won't quite die!!], Tuesday, October 2, at 10 a.m. A markup is where the committee discusses the bill and then votes whether or not to send it to the full House of Representatives.

If you don't want to worry more about the character of those your church or private school is allowed to hire.

They have links to use for action/communication with your Washingcritters.

Or for that matter, your church's daycare, or retirement home, or whatever.

Or for the other side, maybe "alternative lifestyle bars" might not want to hire a flaming heterosexual like myself.

But Rep. Barney "Pimp" Frank doesn't seem to mind....

Well, they get the better end of it. You're trustworthy, kind, generous, etc. What do they have to lose?

Well shoot, I hope that my flaming heterosexuality would make a bunch of them uneasy!

Could be a good thing, to be sure, and might wake up a lot of patrons to the disaster they're inviting in their lives. That said, I don't know that the law ought to compel them to do this.

And certainly I don't have an application in!
