First, ease dropping on phone calls and now opening mails w/o warrants. Next will be breaking down your doors w/o warrants and taking you away indefinitely, oh wait they are doing this already. So the US is heading toward the CSUS if we're not careful, the Communist Socialist United States.

Well, that would be along the lines of the coming North American Union that Bush, Vicente Fox, his replacement, and whoever the guy in charge of Canada are working for. They're putting a freeway from mid-Mexico to Central Canada through the "fruited plains" and not making any noise about the "progress" that it represents.

I'm guessing that we'll have an unelected bureaucracy like the EU in Belgium if we're not careful. :^p

I personally wonder if W was bribed to do this by UPS and FedEx. Note that he's asserting this in POSTAL regulations, not those about email and private delivery services.

OK, probably not bribed, but if I held stock in FedEx, I'd be really happy about this. That, or pgp, or....

But, Bubba, you do hold no stock in PGP. You don't mind that they read our email. I do mind that they read mine, but if I want to communicate with you, I have to do it sans encryption because you're a Luddite!

And, considering how tight you tend to be with your $s, I'm surprised -- since PGP is free. ;^)

So what's the deal w/ W announcing that illegals should be able to collect soc sec? I got this from http://atomicferret.blogspot.com/.

Perhaps he's working to establish a one world government and bring forth the Millenial Kingdom... If it's going to happen, why not work toward it?!?

(For one thing, we are to "occupy until [he] comes.")

Does it work with company email systems like Lotus?

I'm actually counting on my daily "Allah Akbar" rants on other weblogs to inoculate me from suspicion of being as big a threat as little old ladies with knitting needles.

Yes, there are things that work with Lotus (Notes, right?).
