Virtually all of the data-stealing malware in circulation today is built to attack Windows systems, and will simply fail to run on non-Windows computers.
Okay, so the author doesn't come right and say "Buy a Mac!," (while admitting that "we" don't have the same problems as Windows users) but it's a reasonable alternative to what he does conclude -- Do your online banking using a "Live CD."
You probably don't even know what that means, much less how to do it. So...
Buy a Mac!
