An Ounce of Pleasure, a Gallon of Pain

If you happen to see the movie Juno (spoiler alert - don't finish reading this sentence if you care), you'll realize that you don't want to be the adoptive father. It's also disturbing in that there is a very cavalier attitude in the girl, Juno, in question.

Anyway, the idea of hyperbolic discounting... Is what feels good today worth more than the consequences tomorrow, next month, in 10-20 years?

Sex, drugs, food, slothfulness...

Another reason not to like dogs:

Cats, on the other hand, are good for reducing incidence of heart attack.
